Integrated Learning Tasks brought to life!

As part of the final wrap up for the Grade 4 Integrated Learning Task (ILT) in Term 1, they spent 3 days “stuck” on Survivor Island. During this time they have had to apply the academic skills and knowledge learned in class, in order to complete various tasks. For example, they had to use their knowledge of coordinates and direction to find survival items hidden around the school. They then had to debate the importance of each item and choose the most important. They have had to use their tallying and graphing skills while spotting birds, and have used their scientific knowledge of transpiration in order to find valuable fresh water.
