One of our main objectives at Elkanah House is to teach beyond the classroom, so that we equip our children with future focused skills. We believe that emotional intelligence is one of the most critical skills needed to face the world.
Our emotional intelligence programme teaches our children to recognise their own emotions, and those of others; to discern between different feelings; and to be able to name and identify feelings. The introduction of this programme also grows the emotive vocabulary of our young children, equipping them with skills to self-regulate their feelings so that they can respond appropriately to difficult situations that they may experience. We introduced this programme over three years ago and we are delighted with the impact that it has had in growing the emotional intelligence of our young children.
